Camping in the desert just outside Tucson, Arizona, offers a unique and serene escape into nature. Surrounded by the vast, arid landscape of the Sonoran Desert, you’ll experience the beauty of rugged terrain, with stunning mountain views rising in the distance. As the sun sets, the sky transforms into vibrant hues of orange and pink, casting a warm glow over the desert floor. The air cools down in the evening, making it the perfect time to sit around a campfire, enjoying the peaceful stillness. With the crisp desert air and a blanket of stars overhead, the experience feels both intimate and expansive, giving a sense of connection to the wild beauty of the Southwest.

					  Excellent place to stay, the hosts were great! It's a little far away from the city but totally worth the drive!

					  Another spectacular stay at Debi & Deacon’s!  Our stay was comfortable and the Airstream met all of our needs.  Deacon also made sure the generator was topped off... read more soon after we arrived.  Pro Tip—if you stay in the summer, make it a plan to wake up just after midnight and sit on the deck for a while. The night is drenched with rich sounds of the desert—between the crickets, the soothing coos of common poorwills (small bird), and the far distant hoots of owls—Mother Nature gave us an auditory show to remember. Debi & Deacon’s place is exceptional. Jeremy and I are blessed to have a local oasis to turn to when we need to unplug.

There was enough water, fire wood for the outdoor pit and a generator for heat in addition to solar panels for electricity.

The quietness of the dessert was only broken by occasional howls by coyotes at night and morning doves cooing.

My favorite moments were watching the sun rise with a cup of coffee on deck and viewing the stars twinkle brightly due to no light pollution.

Large land area on site for exploring and within an hours driving distance to Kitt Peak (a must), Saguaro National Park and areas of Tuscon. Our favorite trail was King Canyon WashTrail in the Western portion of Saguaro National Park.

We couldn't have asked for better hosts and the Airstream was an offgrid experience that was 100% worth it!
